Understanding Chronic Cough Disease – Chronic cough is a cough that lasts for a long time. Usually, the duration of coughing up to one or two months more.

Coughing is basically a symptom of a disease. This condition is a body reflex to clear the airways from mucus or other irritant triggers-like dust or smoke. This cough reflex is a normal reaction and a sign that the body is functioning well.

  • Bacterial infection with antibiotics
  • GERD with antacid drug
  • COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) with a bronchodilator or type of medication to improve the capacity of the lungs to absorb oxygen.

  • Chronic respiratory tract infections such as chronic bronchitis
  • Asthma
  • Allergy
  • Smoke
  • Bronchiectasis (destruction and widening of abnormal large respiratory tract)
  • Postnasal drip (excessive mucus that accumulates behind the throat)
  • GERD
  • Side effects of drugs such as the type of ace-inhibitor drugs for high blood pressure problems
  • Cystic fibrosis in children (a type of genetic health disorder that makes mucus in the body sticky.The case is rarely encountered)

  • Increase endurance for tea from flu or cold.
